The NT Government's Turbocharging Tourism stimulus package will deliver $21 million to improve the NT's festivals and events.

To be rolled out over two years, the new funding will will further develop the Territory's tourism products and make them more enjoyable for locals and visitors.

The $21 million investment includes the $3 million Visitor Experience Enhancement Program to support new experiences and help local businesses get new ideas off the ground that will lead to more positive customer reviews of the Territory.

$4 million will go towards maintaining and enhancing Territory parks while $1.6 million will help improve the visitor experience at the popular V8 Supercars event in Darwin and Red CentreNATS event in Alice Springs.

The festivals and events funding will help enhance existing festivals and events throughout the Territory, while providing opportunity for new events. $2.4 million will also be allocated to activate the Darwin and Alice Springs CBDs.

With festivals and events a proven drawcard for tourists, the Turbocharging Tourism festivals and events funding will help attract more visitors to the Territory providing consumers with even more reason to book a holiday now.
