Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge has been revealed as the finish line for Channel 10 television show, The Amazing Race Australia.

The Amazing Race Australia follows teams of two, including Darwin couple Jerome and Jasmin, as they race around the globe in an attempt to be the first to cross the finish line in Katherine and win $250,000.

The finale will hero the Top End’s beautiful landscapes and also showcase bookable, local adventure activities.

General Manager Marketing Tourism NT, Tony Quarmby, said the sponsorship will help increase awareness of the Territory as a unique holiday destination to the show's travel hungry fans.

“Tourism NT is excited to partner with Jetstar to co-sponsor this year’s season of Channel 10’s The Amazing Race Australia," said Mr Quarmby.

“The Top End will feature in the finale, showcasing the region’s natural beauty to hundreds of thousands around the country.

“We encourage tourism operators to leverage the mass national exposure from the show and promote their adventure activities to show Australians what the NT has to offer.”

The Amazing Race Australia airs on Channel 10 on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7.30pm.
