The Northern Territory Government is making further investments into Central Australian tourism, to bolster the industry, create jobs and encourage visitors to the region.

Included in the funding is a $1 million dollar brand and trade campaign dedicated to the Red Centre, to drive interstate visitation in 2023.

In addition to a tailored $500,000 business events marketing program to showcase Central Australia through familiarisation programs, media activity and travel trade advertising.

To further support the tourism industry, the Save and Learn voucher program will be doubled to $3,000 per eligible school group, to encourage interstate schools to visit the Northern Territory this year.

While a new $1 million visitor enhancement program will be launched, where Territory operators can receive up to $100,000 in funding to upgrade their visitor experience.

These investments build upon the Seek Different, Road Trip Differently and Culture is closer than you think campaigns, to encourage visitors to the Northern Territory.

The Northern Territory had a $2.6 billion tourism spend in 2022, back to pre-covid levels and the Northern Territory government is committed to growing that figure in 2023.
