Street art transforms Darwin

Darwin CBD has undergone a makeover with eight large murals painted around the City.

The colourful murals are part of the NT Government's inaugural Darwin Street Art Festival held over 10 days from 19-29 October.

The Festival saw local artists team up with renowned national street artists to produce the stunning public art works.

The murals, scattered on building throughout the CBD, feature iconic Northern Territory wildlife, traditional Aboriginal art and tropical designs.

The Darwin Street Art Festival is part of the NT Government's $100 million transformation plan for Darwin City that also includes a NT Museum at Myilly Point, a fine art gallery and programs and initiativesto add colour and vibrancy to the City.
