South Australians given taste of NT

Camel at Adelaide 4WD Show
The Northern Territory has featured prominently at Adelaide’s biggest outdoor leisure event this weekend.

Tourism NT's outback pub 'The Waterhole' is at the Club Marine SA Boat & Fishing Show and the Adelaide 4WD & Adventure Show, which attracts 17,500 outdoor enthusiasts.

The Waterhole will showcase 18 NT tourism operators including accommodation providers, fishing tour operators, caravan park operators, safari tour operators, regional visitor information centres and crocodile and snake wildlife tours hailing from all corners of the Northern Territory.

Highlights of the Northern Territory display include a fishing lure casting competition, bush tucker tastings and gold panning demonstrations.

Tourism NT will use the popular leisure show to reinforce the huge range of activities on offer in the NT, particularly our great fishing to help attract more people to enter the Northern Territory's Million Dollar Fish competition.

The message to show-goers will be 'stop guessing, start doing the NT' to support Tourism NT's It's About Time domestic tourism campaign.

The show takes place at the Adelaide Showgrounds from Friday 21 October to Sunday 23 October.

Local NT tourism operators who would like to attend similar leisure shows in 2017 are now encouraged to register your interest.

NT displays will occur at the SA Caravan and Camping Show (15-19 February), the Victorian Caravan and Camping Show (22-27 February), Brisbane 4x4 Outdoor Show, Fishing & Boating Expo (31 March-2 April) and the NSW Caravan and Camping Show (22-30 April).

To register your interest in attending, contact Tourism Top End here or Tourism Central Australia.
