NT Military Tourism Events
A series of new events will commemorate the Territory's unique military history in 2019.

Territory Tribute will begin with the Bombing of Darwin commemorations and end on ANZAC day with dozens of events in between to raise awareness of the day war came to Australian shores.

Highlights of the program include a twilight concert “Overture to Peace” conducted by John Foreman OAM, a three-day curated International Military Writers' Festival led by Peter Fitzsimons AM and the World's Greatest Two-up School and Last Post Ceremonies, culminating in Anzac Day Dawn Services in Darwin and across the Territory.

The $1.9 million Territory Tribute program will position Darwin as the pilgrimage destination for Australian military history, with the funding part of the Government’s $103 million Turbocharging Tourism stimulus package to attract more visitors to the Territory.

Territory Tribute has been developed by Inspire Strategic Solutions, who are working with Northern Territory Major Events Company, Darwin’s military history tourism sector and a national advisory panel to develop the event program.

The inaugural Territory Tribute will run from 19 February to 25 April 2019.
