A new campaign promoting the Northern Territory as a destination for unique events has launched to interstate audiences today.

The campaign will promote the Territory’s events season. From art and music to food and sport, the Territory puts on events like nowhere else.

The central campaign focus will feature three uniquely Territorian events that interstate audiences will be compelled to visit in 2021. These are Parrtjima: A Festival in Light, a free 10-night festival in Alice Springs in April, the Barunga Festival held in June in the Katherine region, celebrating music, sport, Aboriginal art and culture, and the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair which is a world class showcase of Aboriginal art in Darwin throughout August.

The campaign is designed to drive interstate visitors to the Territory and encourage dispersal through our regions and includes digital advertising across News Corp Australia platforms, Starts at 60 and PEDESTRIAN.TV, as well as social media and programmatic display advertising.

The campaign will be in market from 8 February to 30 June 2021 and will include travel deals and packages with our trade partners Webjet, NT Now and Luxury Escapes.

The campaign will also be promoting the entire Northern Territory annual events calendar, so event organisers are encouraged to ensure their events are listed and up to date on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) to be included on Tourism NT’s events portal https://northernterritory.com/things-to-do/festivals-and-events
