Mega Meet mega success

The recent #NTAustralia Mega Meet was a great success in generating global interest in the Northern Territory

The campaign saw 168 images and videos posted by professional social media influencers over two weeks resulting in more than one million likes and comments.

All together, the Instagrammers involved in the Mega Meet had a combined 4.7 million followers making it Tourism NT’s biggest ever social media event.

The campaign started in Uluru and Alice Springs, before heading up to Kakadu and finishing in Darwin.

Influencers Jack Morris @doyoutravel and Lauren Bullen @gypsea_lust had images from Uluru and the Kangaroo Sanctuary in Alice Springs go viral, attracting more than 132,000 likes on some photos resulting in significant international exposure for the NT.

Other images posted during the campaign included the Territory's incredible starlit night skies, the iconic NT crocodile as well as the breath-taking landscapes of Kakadu and Nitmiluk National Park.

Locals were also encourage to show off their backyard during the campaign and post their favourite snaps of their hometown with #NTAustralia on Instagram.
