Laksa ice cream on the menu at new festival

The curry flavoured ice cream, the brainchild of Cold Rock Darwin, comes served with crispy noodles, chilli flakes and coriander leaves and is already tantalising taste buds.
It will be one of many dishes plated up during the inaugural Festival, which celebrates everything about the spicy soup that has long been a favourite of Territorians.
As part of the event, foodies can also cast their own vote for the City's best Laksa through the dedicated Darwin Laksa Festival app.
A panel of experts, chaired by Hanuman restaurateur Jimmy Shu, will award Darwin’s best laksa the ‘Golden Bowl’, with Diana Chan, winner of MasterChef Australia 2017, joining the panel as a celebrity judge.
The Darwin International Laksa Festival is on Sunday November 24 in Darwin City.
