Jetstar Asia has unveiled a specially designed Northern Territory-themed Airbus A320 aircraft.

Jetstar Asia launched the Territory livery at Darwin International Airport this morning, as well as its sponsorship of the Arafura Games.

Illustrator, Ben Qwek, designed the artwork on the aircraft, which features popular Red Centre and Top End destinations such as Uluru-Kata Tjuta and Kakadu National Parks as well as attractions and animals including the Ghan, Uluru, camels, kangaroos, emus, crocodiles and termite mounds.

The artwork is complemented by specially designed decals and tray tables within the aircraft.

It's hoped the Northern Territory-themed livery will be a flying billboard for NT tourism and inspire visitors from across Asia to travel to the NT.

The new Territory-themed aircraft also celebrates a decade of Jetstar Asia's Darwin Singapore link, with the route delivering 1.2 million visitors between Darwin and Singapore over the last ten years.
