The first illuminated sculpture by world-renowned artist Bruce Munro has been unveiled for his upcoming Darwin exhibition.

‘Bruce Munro: Tropical Light’ will feature eight illuminated sculptures placed throughout the Darwin CBD and will be the artist’s first citywide exhibition in the world.

A special preview has unveiled a first look at one of the sculptures, 'Water Towers', along the sea wall at the Darwin Waterfront.

The exhibition is funded through the Territory Government’s Turbocharging Tourism initiative, to help drive visitation to Darwin during the Tropical Summer season.

The exhibition will run from 1 November 2019 until 30 April 2020.

Bruce’s work has proved hugely successful with ‘Bruce Munro: Field of Light’ at Uluru attracting more than 250,000 people and a 15 per cent increase in demand for flights.

There will be many opportunities for local businesses to leverage the attention and foot traffic a Bruce Munro exhibition attracts.

To learn more about these opportunities, Darwin businesses are encouraged to attend industry briefings to explore opportunities for product development, capability building and tourism trade engagement.

A Dropbox of collateral is available to help promote the exhibition. For access email [email protected]
