Darwin Water Park makes a splash

The NT Government has announced a preferred site and called for the Expressions of Interest to build an operate the international standard facility.
The nominated site is located near Stokes Hill Wharf, within walking distance to Darwin City, shops, restaurants, cafes and other tourism attractions.
It is anticipated the new water park will water theme park will encourage tourists to visit the Territory and stay longer.
The new water theme park development could include entertainment precincts, public open spaces, recreational activities, accommodation options and food and retail outlets.
The Darwin water theme park is part of a $100 million plan by the NT Government to revitalise Darwin's CBD and make it a world-class tourism mecca.
The Expression of Interest closes on 22 August 2018.
