Boost for Red Centre with increase of flights

Tourism NT is delighted with the recent announcement from Qantas of the increase of flights from Cairns to Uluru.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a key tourist attraction to overseas and domestic visitors meaning accessible and flexible flight options is a must.

The introduction of a daily flight from Cairns to Ayers Rock airport from late March 2024 will mean that tourists can jump on a plane to bring them from the Great Barrier Reef to Uluru in under three hours seven days a week.

From June this year, international and interstate visitors will have regular and convenient access to Uluru with flight options to Ayers Rock airport from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Cairns.

Another great success for tourism in the Territory.
