Tourism Fast Track Support
Addressing business survival, business revival and business growth, Tourism Fast Track is an intensive business support program via a partnership with Tourism NT, the Department of Trade, Business and Innovation and the Business Enterprise Centre NT (BECNT)
The program was established under the Territory Government’s $2 million Immediate Tourism Resilience Plan to minimise the impact to our tourism industry from the Australian bushfires and the Coronavirus outbreak. The program has been extended to help businesses and operators navigate through the extreme challenges impacting the Territory's tourism industry in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Targeted at tourism businesses that are suffering financial hardship, this specifically tailored support program will be intensive in nature, focusing on increasing revenue; increasing the number of visitors (customers); increasing the average visitor spend; reviewing prices; or lowering business expenditure.
It will involve a minimum of five one-on-one meetings with an experienced tourism sector business consultant over a three month time period. Meetings will need to be completed by 31 December 2020, noting the immediacy of the current challenges facing the industry.
All meetings will focus on the individual business situation, their options, business research and analysis, strategic development, implementation options and modelling the financial effects on their business prior to any expenditure.
An additional four months of support will also be provided for all participants to assist with strategic implementation and business growth.
The BEC NT offers a range of services and can assist businesses through business education, best practice strategic direction and strategy implementation. Tourism businesses looking to apply for the program, can do so via BEC NT or Tourism NT.
