To be eligible for permanent employment in Tourism NT a person must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident. For temporary employment, it is necessary for a person to hold an appropriate visa with working rights.

Staff of Tourism NT are employed under the Northern Territory Public Sector 2010-2013 Union Collective Agreement  (7239 KB). Staff of Territory Discoveries are employed under the Northern Territory Tourist Commission Enterprise Agreement 2004  (192 KB).  The Agreements provide flexible employment frameworks that underpin commercial business operations and enables Tourism NT to compete more effectively in-market.
