To restrict the spread of COVID-19, the Parks and Wildlife Commission has today confirmed that Territory campgrounds, multi-day walks and high-use day areas that encourage groups to gather, will be closed from 5pm Thursday 26 March 2020.

New Dates Confirmed for People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS and Parrtjima

The People’s Choice BASSINTHEGRASS festival has been rescheduled to Saturday 31 October 2020 at Darwin’s Mindil Beach. Parrtjima – A Festival in Light has been rescheduled to 11-20 September 2020 in Alice Springs. The change in dates follows the Federal Government’s 13 March 2020 advice to cancel events of 500 people or more, in the immediate future, as a precautionary measure in relation to COVID-19.
