16 November 2020 - SA and VIC Hotspot Update
South Australia has been declared a hotspot for the purpose of travel to the Northern Territory, effective immediately. Today the NT Government announced that the NT Borders will open to Greater Melbourne from 12:01pm (noon) on 30 November, 2020 after two replication cycles without coronavirus cases.
24 August 2020 - New Direction from Chief Health Officer
The NT Chief Health Office has made changes to the conditions around mandatory quarantine for some travellers coming to the NT from a declared hotspot.
21 August 2020 - Port Stephens Hotspot Revoked
The NT Chief Health Officer has officially revoked the hotspot area of Port Stephens, NSW for the purpose of travel to the NT.
15 July 2020 - Update on Hotspots & Entering the NT
The Northern Territory Government has declared parts of NSW a COVID-19 hotspot for the purposes of quarantine protocols. Greater metropolitan Sydney now joins Victoria as identified COVID-19 hotspots.
14 July 2020 - Territory Tourism Vouchers
In the first ten days, over 4,500 vouchers have been redeemed generating $3.3 million in bookings for local operators.
26 June 2020 - Hotspot Measures
From 17 July, arrivals from a suburb or local government area that has been declared a coronavirus hotspot will be required to undertake mandatory self-quarantine for 14 days and COVID-19 Safety Plan Guidelines for events are now available.
18 June 2020 - Border Restrictions to Lift
The Chief Minister has announced the Northern Territory will end its mandatory quarantine arrangements for all interstate arrivals from 12:01am on Friday 17 July. International arrivals will still be required to undergo 14 days of mandatory self-quarantine.
12 June 2020 - Updated Quarantine Measures
From 15 June, all interstate arrivals must complete 14 days of mandatory self-quarantine at a place of your choice in a regional centre: Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine, Tennant Creek or Nhulunbuy (Gove).
5 June 2020 - Intra-Territory Travel
Territorians can freely recommence travelling within the Northern Territory (NT) and, from 15 June 2020, the NT will transition from mandatory monitored quarantine in a hotel to mandatory self-quarantine.
25 May 2020 - Ensure you're ready for local visitors
Biosecurity zones will be removed from noon, 5 June 2020, allowing Territorians to travel freely within the Northern Territory.
14 May 2020 - COVID-19 Safety Plan Checklist
All businesses must submit the COVID-19 Safety Plan Checklist before stage three, 5 June 2020, even if already reopened or if remained open throughout the pandemic.
