The new Aviation Futures 2015 strategy is the Northern Territory Government’s blueprint for growing international and domestic air services.
Initiatives include tourism marketing, commercial airline route development and local industry development.
The Northern Territory Government is continuing to strongly advocate for the growth of sustainable air services and aviation support industries in Darwin, Alice Springs as well as remote towns and communities.
Priorities for the next five years include expanding the Darwin international aviation hub, attracting a full service international airline, developing better international links to Central Australia and expanding support industries. A complementary strategy for regional transport services is being developed by the Department of Lands and Planning.
