The Northern Territory is widely regarded as Australia’s last wild fishing frontier because of the abundant number of fresh and saltwater fish species found in its waters, it’s comparatively low population and its wilderness appeal.
This appeal brings fishing visitors from both Australia and overseas. These visitor groups can be divided broadly into three categories: International fishing visitors, Interstate fishing visitors and Intra-Territory fishing visitors.
