Domestic trade

Tourism NT undertakes numerous trade initiatives aimed at increasing both the knowledge of and the desire to sell and promote the Northern Territory as a holiday destination.

These activities ensure that key trade partners around Australia are armed with the knowledge and enthusiasm to engage the end customer, enabling them to better convert consumer desire into actual visitation.

The three key areas of activity undertaken with domestic trade are:

Inbound

The Inbound Marketing unit is based in Sydney, focuses largely on operational marketing activities. Inbounds key role is to work with trade partners in the inbound and niche markets.

The unit’s aim is to ensure the NT receives maximum exposure in all inbound programs by servicing ITOs. In addition, Inbound focuses on servicing niche retail distribution outlets and chains in Australia, ensuring they give the NT maximum exposure.
