Tourism Electricity Support Program

Tourism NT actively supports the development of quality tourism infrastructure throughout the Territory.  The Tourism Electricity Support Program (TESP) aims to assist in the attraction of new, destination-appropriate major tourism infrastructure outside the Territory's main regional centres.  Application where existing infrastructure is significantly being expanded or upgraded will also be considered.

TESP provides grants to qualifying applicants to fund electricity generation up to the value of $200,000.

To qualify, proposals must be:

  • a new or expanding development
  • not connected to the NT electricity grid
  • over $4 million in value
  • of strategic value to Territory tourism

Priority will be given to applications incorporating renewable energy generation systems.
