Indigenous tourism
The Stepping Stones program is a cross cultural facilitation tool designed to support indigenous tourism business planning. The program has been developed to assist facilitators working with Aboriginal people and communities who aspire to establish or grow tourism businesses.
Within the Northern Territory Stepping Stones workshops have been used to support Indigenous tourism development for traditional owners of
- the Rainbow Valley and Chambers Pillar National Parks,
- Black Tank Homeland,
- Areyonga Aboriginal Community,
- traditional owners of Tjuwalin (Douglas Hot Springs),
- women from the Wagiman language area and
- women within Kakadu National Park.
