Judging Panel

Chairman - Mr Bob Woodward

Bob Woodward has had a long association with the Brolga Awards. He was a member of the judging panel for 3 years, as well as a judge of the Australian Tourism Awards, also for 3 years, and in 2005 he assumed the role of Chairman of the Northern Territory Judging Panel. Prior to this his involvement included participation and success in the Significant Tour and Transport Operator and Marketing categories with his company Aussie Adventure Holidays. In 2003, Bob was the recipient of the highly coveted Minister for Tourism's Perpetual Trophy for Tourism Excellence.

The role of Chairman carries enormous responsibility, but with a strong passion for tourism excellence, sound financial management and good business practices, Bob Woodward considers it to be both an honour and privilege to serve.

The Juding Panel

Judging is conducted by a panel of industry peers appointed by the Chairman of the Judges and Tourism NT, with the endorsement of the Minister for Tourism. Each judge is selected for his or her knowledge and experience, and for their willingness to volunteer and commit time to a non-paid role of judging the Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards.

The selection ensures that a broad range of the industry is represented and that skills and expertise are complementary. The judging panel is reviewed each year and operates independently of Tourism NT.

The criteria and category guidelines for the Awards are set at a national level and are consistently applied by all states and territories. The judging process is overseen by the Chairman of Judges and an independent auditor.
