Tourism NT actively supports the development of quality tourism infrastructure throughout the Territory.

Major Tourism Infrastructure Support Program

The Major Tourism Infrastructure Support Program (MTISP) aims to assist in the attraction of new, destination-appropriate major tourism infrastructure outside the Territory's main regional centres. Applications where existing tourism infrastructure is significantly being expanded or upgraded will also be considered.

MTISP provides grants to qualifying applications to fund relevant infrastructure up to the value of $200,000.

Applicants will be asked to submit a business case demonstrating the long term sustainability of the venture and relevant information required to assess their capacity to undertake the project.

Do you qualify?

• New or expanding development.
• Over $4 million (excluding land value).
• Of strategic value to Territory tourism.
• Located outside of Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine or Tennant Creek.

What is being sought?

• Destination-appropriate infrastructure.
• Iconic tourism product.
• Concepts which will positively contribute to the Territory's economy.
• Environmentally and culturally sustainable developments.
