Judging is conducted by a panel of industry peers and business professionals appointed by the Chairman of the Judges and Tourism NT, with the endorsement of the Minister for Tourism. Each judge is selected for their knowledge and experience, and for their willingness to volunteer and commit time to a non-paid role as judge of the Brolga Northern Territory Tourism Awards.

The selection process ensures that a broad range of the industry is represented and that skills and expertise are complementary. The judging panel is reviewed each year and operates independently of Tourism NT.

Judges for 2012

Tom Ganley – Chair of Judges

Tom Ganley is the Chief Financial Officer of Northern Territory Airports owners and operators of Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Airports.  Tom is a Territorian, born in Alice Springs and has over 22 years experience in the Tourism and Aviation industries.  Tom has been a member of the judging panel since 2008 and was appointed chair of the judging panel in 2010.

Julie Crisp - Auditor

Julie Crisp is the Partner ultimately responsible for the provision of Assurance and Advisory services within the Deloitte Darwin office.  Julie has been the auditor for the Brolga Awards for four years. Julie is passionate about the Territory and innovation and finds her involvement with the Brolgas an enlightening insight into new and existing businesses within the Tourism industry who continue to shape the Territory’s growth.
